With the growing need for women in media to network, thanks to men stubbornly continuing to dominate the industry, broadcast commentator and media mogul China Okasi and Annie Scranton of Pace Public Relations have decided to host an exclusive networking bonanza for women who work both on and off the air.

Their event, rightly dubbed "Women Of Media," offers a rare opportunity for female professionals to connect over their production successes and woes. In Okasi's signature style, the event will have elements of class and uniqueness as Armand de Brignac (better known as the luxury champagne company, Ace of Spades) provides the champagne for this VIP reception. The best part? An R&B singer to sing throughout the night--and deliver a surprise rendition of a song about women in media: their struggles, their triumphs and why they deserve to be honored.

"Hosts like Tamron Hall & Megyn Kelly attend, and with such harmony of the networks in one space, the event might be the only party in which Democrats & Republicans are happily a part of the same party," says Okasi. The event is the first of its kind, but expect it to recur annually.
